    Hi Meredith- Lynn here--- thought I'd let you know an update on my hernia surgery recovery. Saw surgeon for post op check up today and I'm doing great he says. Got to wait a couple more weeks for anything strenuous, but walking and some stretching is ok. Took a short walk today and now going to this video for some stretching . Once my two weeks is up- I'll be firing up some of your chair exercise videos. I'll ease into it- don't worry. 😊 Thanks for caring . Have a good rest of your week. 🫶

    Bonjour Meredith. I notice that most seniors usually shuffle when they walk which results in tripping & falling. Do you have exercises that prevents one from shuffling when walking, that is, ensuring that one always lifts each foot up properly when walking. Usually chronic ache in the calf muscles and / or knees prevents one from lifting each foot properly. Can one use weights to strengthen the calf muscles? Merci bien.

      Hello! These balance exercises are good to stretch and strengthen the hip flexors, ankles, hips, calves as well. Doing the strength training workouts are very helpful as well. I hope this helps! Take care!

      I apologize you feel this way...the stretches help many participants, getting better range of motion as well as strengthening. I always say do what you can, you are not to mirror me so much as do what you can as I instruct through movements. I hope this helps you moving forward looking for movements best for you. Thank you!

    Is there something for warmup besides doing hundreds of repetitions in a row of the muscles used for marching? Hip arthritis makes that a real no-go for many elder folk (myself included).

      Understood, marches are a good way to get the heart rate up as a warm up...alternatives you can do: heel raises, kicks, move upper body in bigger ways to get the heart rate up, etc... I hope this helps!
